Prevest DenPro Eugenolis a chemically pure eugenol liquid formulated for use in temporary dental and endodontic procedures. It has an obtundent effect and can provide temporary relief of localized dental pain. When mixed with zinc oxide, it forms a smooth paste suitable for temporary sedative dressings, temporary cementation, or lining beneath non-composite resin restorations. Its high-fluidity liquid consistency allows easy and controlled dispensing during clinical application. Eugenol is also used with zinc oxide-based materials in selected root canal and restorative procedures. It should not be used beneath composite resin restorations because eugenol can inhibit composite polymerization.
